Simply Lasagna Recipe

To make simply lasagna, you will need the following ingredients:- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package (16 ounces) lasagna noodles
- 1 container (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain the excess fat. 3. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. 4. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Drain the noodles. 5. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups of the mozzarella cheese, and the Parmesan cheese. 6. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the dish. 7. Arrange a layer of lasagna noodles on top of the meat sauce. 8. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture on top of the noodles. 9. Repeat the layers of meat sauce, noodles, and cheese mixture until all of the ingredients are used up. 10. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on top of the lasagna. 11. Cover the lasagna with foil and bake for 25 minutes. 12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.Nutrition
