Baked Sausage Recipe
Introduction

- 6 Italian sausages
- 1 onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil

- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 can of diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the onion and bell peppers into thin slices and set aside.
- Mince the garlic cloves and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sausages to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the onion and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the can of diced tomatoes to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Arrange the sausages in a baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over them.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the sausages are browned on top.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
