- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
Instructions
Follow these simple steps to make tomato chutney:- Wash the tomatoes and chop them into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Saute for a few minutes until the onions turn translucent.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes until the tomatoes are soft and pulpy.
- Add sugar and vinegar. Mix well and cook for another 5-10 minutes until the chutney thickens.
