- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Follow these steps to make freeze-dried tofu:- Drain the tofu and wrap it in a clean kitchen towel. Place it on a plate and put a heavy object on top to remove excess water. Leave it for at least 30 minutes.
- Cut the tofu into small cubes or strips.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, sesame oil, and cornstarch.
- Add the tofu to the mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the tofu to the pan and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the tofu from the pan and place it on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Let the tofu cool completely.
- Once the tofu is cool, place it in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Put the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze the tofu for at least 2 hours or until completely frozen.
- Remove the tofu from the freezer and let it thaw for a few minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the thawed tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the tofu for 20-25 minutes or until it is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the tofu from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the tofu with your favorite dipping sauce.
