Introduction

If you're looking for a quick and easy appetizer that will impress your guests, look no further than these sausage ranch wontons. With just a few ingredients and a little bit of prep work, you can have a plate of delicious, crispy wontons on the table in no time.

Ingredients

To make these sausage ranch wontons, you'll need the following ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. Begin by heating up your oil in a deep fryer, or in a large pot on the stove. You'll want the oil to be at around 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. While the oil is heating up, cook your ground sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it's browned and cooked through. 3. Remove the cooked sausage from the skillet and place it in a large mixing bowl. 4. Add the ranch dressing, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the sausage. Mix everything together until well combined. 5. To assemble the wontons, lay out a few wonton wrappers on a flat surface. Spoon a small amount of the sausage mixture onto the center of each wrapper. 6. Use your fingers or a small brush to wet the edges of the wonton wrappers with water. 7. Fold the wonton wrapper in half, pressing the edges together to seal it shut. You can also use a fork to crimp the edges if you'd like. 8. Once your oil is hot, carefully drop the wontons into the oil using a slotted spoon. Fry them for 2-3 minutes, or until they're golden brown and crispy. 9. Use the slotted spoon to remove the wontons from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil. 10. Serve your sausage ranch wontons hot, with additional ranch dressing for dipping if desired.
